A typical day is something like this :
Meet at the dive centre at 08.30 – pack kit and load the trucks, then set off for 2 consecutive dives.
Return to the dive centre at 14.00.

1.2.
Other start times may be available upon request & are subject to availability.

1.3.
When boat diving, start and finish times are arranged on a daily basis.

1.4.

1.5.

1.6.
Dives in your dive packages do not have to be made on consecutive days.

1.7.
Dive packs cannot be shared between people & dives are non-transferrable.

1.8.
You may be required to complete a check dive and/or scuba review depending on your level and experience.

2. PRE-CONDITIONS FOR DIVING

2.1.
Qualified divers need to present their certification card and log book

2.2.
All divers need to complete and sign a Maltese Government Diver Registration Form. This form consists of a self assessment Medical Screening Statement and a Statement of Risks and Liability.

2.3.
If a diver answers `YES’ to any of the questions on the above Medical Screening Statement then a medical certificate signed by a medical doctor stating that you are fit to scuba dive is required. This medical certificate needs to be less than 12 months old.

2.4.
It is the diver’s responsibility to ensure that, if applicable, the above medical requirement is met. Failure to meet this requirement may result in the diver either losing diving days until a medical can be arranged locally or not being permitted to dive due to local legislation.

2.5.
Divers under the age of 18 need to provide written parental/guardian consent allowing them to dive.

• For divers wanting only Air Fills the above 3.1 applies.

3. Independent/Unguided Diving & Tank or Equipment Rental

3.1.
Maltese diving regulations stipulate that all divers renting equipment and diving independently must be qualified as a minimum of PADI Advanced Open Water, BSAC Sports Diver or equivalent (2 Star). Divers below this level
must dive under the direct in-water supervision of a Maltese registered diving Instructor and may not rent equipment and dive independently.

  • For divers wanting only Air Fills the above 3.1 applies

3.2.
A diver wishing to do Independent/Unguided diving will need to arrange their own buddy. Solo diving is not recommended or encouraged by our dive centre.

3.3.
Divers opting for Independent diving need to have their own transport. This can be arranged by Gozodive St.Andrews Dive  should you wish.

3.4.
Customers renting equipment from Gozodive St.Andrews Dive  must check that all equipment is working properly prior to leaving the dive centre. If stolen or damaged, customers are required to reimburse the centre for the item in full.

3.5.
All items must be returned in good working order on the same day as taken. Items will be charged on a daily basis whether used or unused until handed back to reception staff.

3.6.
The customer renting the equipment is fully responsible for all equipment once it is signed for and is the responsibility of the hirer, any losses or breakages must be paid for in full.

4. Guided Dives

4.1.
All our dive guides are qualified instructors. Divers are grouped into teams of similar qualification and experience and suitable dive sites are then selected according to the group’s preferences.

4.2.
Divers using our transport to and from the dive sites do so at their own risk. Any equipment or personal belongings lost or stolen from the vehicle is not covered by Gozodive St.Andrews   insurance.

4.3.
The maximum depth for each client is determined on certification level and the date of the last dive.

4.4.
We do not do Decompression Dives for Recreational diving unless certified in decompression procedures. This does not apply to technical diving.

4.5.
Divers opting for technical dives need to book for these separate to our normal recreation dives. Rates for technical dives vary greatly depending on client’s particular request.

4.6.
No refunds are given for dives booked and not completed when already on location – unless Gozodive St.Andrews   cancel the dive(s) due to adverse weather conditions or any other reasons outside of our control. Where possible Gozodive St.Andrews  will reschedule any dives – if not possible then refunds will be given for dives not taken
