Gozo’s waters provide an optimal environment for the RAID Deco 50m Course, as it offers various dive sites with depths that range from 30 to 60 meters, making it an ideal location for practicing decompression procedures and handling equipment considerations. Gozo’s location in the Mediterranean also ensures that the water temperature remains relatively warm throughout the year, making diving comfortable and enjoyable.
To enroll in the RAID Deco 50 Diver course, you must meet certain requirements. Firstly, you must be at least 16 years old and have been a certified diver for a minimum of three months. In addition, you must have already obtained a RAID Open Circuit Level 3 certification, or an equivalent certification from another recognized diving organization. You must also hold certifications in Navigation, Night & Limited Visibility, Nitrox, and Deep, with a minimum of five hours of diving experience between 27-40 meters.
To qualify for the course, you must provide proof of current certification in Rescue Breathing/CPR Training and Oxygen Provider from an organization such as DAN (Divers Alert Network) or an equivalent certifying agency.
Finally, you should have logged at least 50 hours of underwater diving experience using open circuit equipment before undertaking the RAID Deco 50 Diver course. By meeting these requirements, you will be well-prepared to embark on the challenging and exciting journey to become a RAID Deco 50 Diver.
The RAID Deco 50M Diver online elearning academic presentations, quizzes and exam must be completed before inwater training. I will review your personal diving skills, stamina, watermanship skills and review rescue scenarios. We will work through dive planning, practical skills, both confined and open water training sessions with a minimum of 4hrs in water dives.
The study portion of the RAID Deco 50 Diver course is completed online before you join us for your course here in Gozo, Malta.
The inwater skills dives are completed in sheltered areas to allow you to build skills introduced by your instructor in small steps.
Once you can repeat the skills in a relaxed way, your instructor will take you diving and complete the certifiying dives of the RAID Deco 50 Diver!
